For example, when recordingwith mics, you can record the main recording with theinput level set as high as possible while recording a backuprecording with the input level set slightly lower to prevent thesound from distorting and record both at the same time. Themain and backup recordings will each be saved as a separatefile. The input level setting will apply to the main recording(see “Preparing the recording inputs” on page 37 and“Adjusting the input level” on page 39). The input level ofthe backup recording is set relative to the input level of themain recording. So, you should set the input level of the mainrecording first and then set the dual level (DUAL LVL) of thebackup recording.NOTE• Dual recording and overdubbing cannot be usedsimultaneously.• In this mode, you cannot record the sound with the effectapplied, but you can use the effect for monitoring.Enabling dual recording1 Press the REC MODE button to open the REC MODEscreen.2 Use the + and – buttons to select REC MODE, and pressthe ENTER/MARK or / button.3 Use the + and – buttons to set it to DUAL.
