TASCAM GB-10 577–PlaybackWhen the Home Screen is open , use Á ,  , ¯ and otherbuttons to operate the unit in the same way you would use aCD player or other audio playback device.When the Home Screen is not open, however, these buttonshave different functions.Before using the following procedures, insert an SD card thathas been formatted by this unit and that contains audio filesthat the unit can playback.NOTESD cards that have been formatted by a TASCAM DR seriesdevice can also be used with this unit.PlaybackWhen the unit is stopped, press the Á button to startplayback.NOTEOnly files in the playback area can be played.•You can also choose files for playback by name on the•BROWSE screen.Stopping playbackWhen the Home Screen is open and a track is playing back,press the [ª] button to stop playback at the currentposition (pause).Press the [ª] button again to return to the beginning ofthe file.Selecting a fileDuring playback or when stopped, use the  and ¯buttons to select a file.Press the  button to skip to the previous file.Press the¯ button to skip to the next file.Only files in the playback area can be played. (See “Using thePLAY MODE screen to set the playback area” on page 60.)The song name, file number and other information for thecurrently playing file are shown on the display.The “ª” icon appears on the display when playback is stoppedat the beginning of a track, and the “π” icon appears whenplayback is stopped in the middle of a track (paused).
