If the USB cable is connected,cancel driver installation and disconnect it before startingdriver installation again.• During driver installation a warning message such as“'TASCAM US-1200 X.XX' can't be opened because it wasnot downloaded from the Mac App Store.” might appear.If a message like this appears, follow the instructions in“Working with Gatekeeper” on page 11 and then proceedwith the installation.8 Driver installation procedures1. Download the latest driver for the operating system you areusing from the TEAC Global Site (http://teac-global.com/)and save it on the computer to be used with the unit.2. Double-click TASCAM_US-1200_driver_X.XX.dmg, which isthe downloaded and saved disk image file, and double-click“TASCAM US-1200 X.XX” inside the folder that opens.NOTEDepending on the computer’s settings, the downloadeddmg file might not have opened automatically. In this case,open the dmg file first and then double-click the disk imagefile.3. After the installer launches, follow the instructions on thescreen to proceed with the installation.4. The following screen appears when installation hascompleted.Click the Restart button. The installer will quit and thecomputer will restart.8 Working with GatekeeperDepending on the Gatekeeper setting, a warning messagemight appear during installation.The solution depends on the warning message shown.See the following explanations for details.• When the Gatekeeper setting is “Allow applicationsdownloaded from: the Mac App Store""'TASCAM US-1200 X.XX' can't be opened because it was notdownloaded from the Mac App Store.” might appear as asecurity warning message.In this case, click the OK button to close the message. Are you sureyou want to open it?” security warning message appears,click the “Open” button.This warning message might also appear when theGatekeeper setting is something other than “Allow applica-tions downloaded from: the Mac App Store"The file still might not open and “'TASCAM US-1200 X.XX'can't be opened because it was not downloaded from theMac App Store.” might appear again.In this case, copy the file from the folder where it is to thedesktop or another folder, and then open it. Alternatively,change the Gatekeeper settings to “Allow applicationsdownloaded from: the Mac App Store and identified devel-opers” and try opening it again.
