Sixth Edition • First Printing Operator's ManualOperating InstructionsPart No. 1299167GT Z®-45/25J 55Drive EnableLight on indicates that the boomhas moved just past either non-steer wheel and the drivefunction has been interrupted.To drive, hold the drive enable switch to either sideand slowly move the drive control handle offcenter.Be aware that the machine may move in theopposite direction that the drive and steer controlsare moved.Always use the color-coded direction arrows onthe platform controls and the drive chassis toidentify the direction the machine will travel.To Position Platform1 Press down the foot switch.2 Slowly move the appropriate function controlhandle or toggle switch or press theappropriate button according to the markingson the control panel.Drive Speed Select Machine on incline symbol: Low rangeoperation for inclines Machine on level surface symbol: High rangeoperation for maximum drive speedTilt Sensor Activation SettingsModel Chassis Angle(side to side)Chassis Angle (frontto back)Z-45J IC 4.5° 4.5°When the Machine On Inclineindicator light is on and the tiltalarm sounds, the followingfunctions are affected; drivefunctions are disabled.Follow the Boom loweringprocedure (see OperatingInstructions) to restore drivefunction.When the machine is stowed, on aslope, and the tilt alarm sounds,the following functions areaffected; lift functions aredisabled.Return the machine to levelground to restore lift functions.Generator (if equipped)To start the generator, movethe generator toggle switch tothe on position.Plug a power tool into thepower to platform GFCI outlet.To turn off the generator, move the generatortoggle switch to the off position.Note: Machine functions will not operate while thegenerator is running and the foot switch is notpressed down. When the foot switch is presseddown, the generator will turn off and the machinefunctions will operate.
