Motor cable insulation checksDisconnect the motor cable from terminals U, V and W of the frequency converter and fromthe motor. Measure the insulation resistance of the motor cable between each phaseconductor as well as between each phase conductor and the protective ground conductor.The insulation resistance must be >1 MΩ..2. Mains cable insulation checksDisconnect the mains cable from terminals L1, L2 and L3 of the frequency converter andfrom the mains. Measure the insulation resistance of the mains cable between each phaseconductor as well as between each phase conductor and the protective ground conductor.The insulation resistance must be >1 MΩ..3. Brake resistor cable insulation checksDisconnect the brake resistor cable from terminals R+ and R- of the frequency converterand from the brake resistor. Measure the insulation resistance of the cable between eachconductor as well as between conductors and the protective ground conductor.The insulation resistance must be >1 MΩ..4. Motor insulation checksDisconnect the motor cable from the motor and open the bridging connections in themotor connection box. Measure the insulation resistance of each motor winding. Themeasurement voltage must equal at least the motor nominal voltage but not exceed 1000V. The insulation resistance must be >1 MΩ.5. Brake resistor insulation checkDisconnect the brake resistor cable and measure the insulation from the power terminalsto the ground terminal. The measurement voltage must equal at least the motor nominalvoltage but not exceed 1000 V. The insulation resistance must be >1MΩ.
