Supplied By www.heating spares.co Tel. 0161 620 6677377.7.1 Replacement of main solenoidvalve.• Isolate the boiler from the electricalsupply.• Remove front casing as in section7.1.3• Lower front control panel as insection 7.1.6• Turn off the gas service valve(1, fig. 50).• Disconnect ignition leads (3, fig. 65)from rear of control box.• Remove three screws (1 + 2, fig. 65)and control box covers.• Disconnect solenoid wires frommain switchboard and applianceearth strip.• Remove two screws (2, fig. 61)and pull solenoid forward toremove from gas valve• Reassemble in reverse order.• Carry out electrical checks (seesection 5.1).and test all gas jointsfor soundness7.7.2 Replacement of modulatingvalve• Isolate the boiler from the electricalsupply.• Remove front casing as in section7.1.3 .• Lower front control panel as insection 7.1.6• Turn off the gas service valve(1, fig. 50).• Remove screw (5, fig. 59) and liftcover off gas valve.• Disconnect modulating coil wires atthe connecting plug provided.• Remove modulating valve byunscrewing wheel adjuster fromgas valve body.• Reassemble in reverse order.• Set burner pressure in accordancewith instructions supplied withspare parts.• Carry out electrical checks (seesection 5.1).and test all gas jointsfor soundness.fig. 60GW 643/0fig. 61GW 644/07.7.3 Replacement of gas operator• Isolate boiler from the electricalsupply.• Remove front casing as in section7.1.3.• Lower front control panel as insection 7.1.6.• Turn off gas service valve (1, fig.50).• Remove screw (5, fig. 59) and liftcover off gas valve.• Disconnect two wires from gasoperator.• Remove screws (1 and 3, fig. 60)and pull operator forward toremove.• Reassemble in reverse order usingnew cork gasket supplied withspare part.• Set burner pressure in accordancewith instructions supplied withspare part.• Carry out electrical checks (seesection 5.1) and test all gas jointsfor soundness.7.8 Replacement of main heatexchanger• Turn off the boiler as in section7.1.1.• Remove front casing as in section7.1.3 and remove combustionchamber cover as in section 7.1.5• Remove heat exchanger front panelas in section 7.1.7• Release CH water pressure anddrain boiler as in section 7.1.2.• Remove burner assembly as insection 7.4.• Pull off wire from NTC (4, fig. 62)• Disconnect flow and returnconnections (3, fig 62)• Slide the heat exchanger forwardto remove.• Disconnect flow and return pipesfrom the heat exchanger byrotating at joints (bayonet fix)• Reassemble in reverse order.• Recommission boiler (see section 5).fig. 62GW 641/0
