A pump with a constantspeed must be used. When dimensioning, pay attention to the pressure lossesof the gravity brake, the piping and the cylinder. Thegravity brake of the heating circuit is to be put in theheating supply; that of the storage charging circuit canbe mounted anywhere you like when the cylinder is con-nected directly to the ecoMAX 665.01000Druck in mbarVolumenstrom in l/h9008007006005004003002001000 250 500 750 1000 1250 1500 1750 2000 2250 2500 2750 3000Mindest-VolumenstromDruckverlustSpeicherladekreisdes Gerätes2200Fig. 4.4 The appliance‘s storage charging circuit without brakeand cylinder (the appliance‘s pressure loss character-istic curve)4.4 Gas connectionCaution!Ensure the gas line is unstressed when mount-ing it so that no leaks are caused.Caution! The gas control block may only be tested forleaks up to a maximum pressure of 110 mbar. The operating pressure may not exceed60 mbar. If these pressures are exceeded, thegas fitting may be damaged. The appliance must be connected to your gas line(Vaillant accessory: gas cock, 1 inch, item no. 300 849)via a gas ball cock with a fire protection apparatus.• Screw the appliance‘s gas supply pipe (1) gas-tight withthe (pre-installed) gas ball cock (2). To do this, use theR1 compression fitting supplied with the appliance. This is suitable for the connection of a R1 gas ballcock.• Inspect the gas connection for leakage.21Fig. 4.5 Gas connection (only surface installation possible)4.5 Heating side connectionCaution!Ensure the connection lines are unstressedwhen mounting them so that no leaks arecaused in the heating system. The appliance is connected to the heating supply andreturn via maintenance cocks. An installation set for theecoMAX 665 is available (item no. 306 728).Caution!Make sure you use the KFE cock (5) in thereturn for filling up, since otherwise the bleed-ing of the appliance is not guaranteed.Note! When using a cylinder directly on the appliance,a gravity brake is to be mounted in the supply.Installation 4
