29Installation and maintenance manual ecoMAX 665• Put back on the cable (8) at the fan motor (coupling),the PWM signal cable beneath the fan (9) and thecable for the gas fitting (11).• Open the gas supply to the device.Danger!Check the gas connection (10) for leaks withleak spray.7.2.2 Clean the integral condensation heatexchangerCaution!Protect the lowered electronics box againstspray water.• Dismantle the compact thermo module as describedunder 7.2.1.• Clean the heating spiral (1) of the integral condensa-tion heat exchanger (2) using regular vinegar essence(fig. 7.3). Rinse with water.• After an action time of approx. 20 minutes, removethe dirt particles that have come loose with a softplastic brush. The condensate pipe must also beentirely free of dirt.21Fig. 7.3 Cleaning the integral condensation heat exchangerNote! When the primary heat exchanger is cleaned, the condensate path and the siphon should alsobe cleaned, see chapter 7.2.3.The connection elbow and the corrugated pipecan be used to help you in rinsing out the pri-mary heat exchanger. Remove these from thesiphon (2, fig. 7.4) and leave the clips and con-nection elbow on the primary heat exchanger.7.2.3 Cleaning the condensate paths and siphonTo clean the condensate paths, the condensate hosecan be dismounted from the primary heat exchanger(1, fig. 7.4) and the complete condensate siphon (2)dismounted. Then both can be cleaned in a disassembledstate.Observe also the siphon installation instructionsprovided.12Fig. 7.4 Cleaning the condensate paths (1)Danger!If the appliance is operated with an empty con-densate siphon, there is the danger of poisoningthrough escaping flue gases. Therefore, refillthe siphon after each cleaning.• Dismount the seal water cartridge beneath the appli-ance and clean it.• Remove the clips beneath the primary heat exchangerand pull off the connection elbow.• Dismount the siphon and the corrugated pipe (con-sider the position of the latches).• Clean the components.Caution!Make sure that no spray water comes into con-tact with other components. If it does, damagemay be caused.Inspection and maintenance 7
