21Instructions for installation and servicing ecoTEC 839592_124.5 Installing the flue system• Install the flue system (refer to the seperate air/flueduct installation instructions).4.6 Fitting the boiler• Lift the boiler (3) up to the wall so that it is slightlyabove the hanging bracket (1).NoteLift the boiler from either side at the bottomedge• Lower the boiler slowly onto the hanging bracket sothat the cross member at the rear of the boiler fullyengages onto the hanging bracket.4.7 Removing the front case12Fig. 4.4 Removing/fixing the front caseTo remove the front section of the case, proceed asfollows:• Loosen the screw (1) on the bottom of the unit.• Push in the two retaining clips (2) on the bottom ofthe appliance until the case is released.• Grasp the front case by its bottom edge, pull it towardsthe front and remove it by lifting it off the unit.4.8 General instructions for heating systemCaution!Thoroughly cleanse the heating system beforeconnecting the appliance!By doing that, residue such as welds, cinder,hemp, putty, rust, rough dust and similarsubstances are removed from the pipes.Otherwise such substances can be deposited inthe appliance and cause damage.- The appliance is fitted with an expansion vessel(10 l/0.75 bar).• Before assembling the appliance check if this volumeis adequate. If not, an extra expansion vessel must beinstalled, see section 3.10.5.4.9 Gas connectionNoteWith the spacer frame (Art. No 308 650), thepipes can be fitted vertically upwards behindthe appliance. The distance of the appliancefrom the wall thus increases by 65 mm.Danger!The gas connection may only be made by acompetent person approved at the time by theHealth and Safety Executive and in accordancewith the gas safety (installation and use)regulations 1998.The legal directives and the local regulationsfor gas supply companies must be observed.Caution!Ensure a stress-relief assembly of the gaspipes to avoid leakages!Caution!The gas regulating block may be tested forleakage only with a maximum pressure of150 mbar!Higher testing pressures can damage the gasfitting.Caution!When making final connection to the boiler, ifusing soldered fittings, extra care should betaken to avoid damage to isolation valvesthrough heat transfer.Boiler installation sequence 4
