Use the spanner flat at the flexible gas lineto hold the gas line.a Caution!Open the gas supply and check the appliancefor gas leaks using a leak testing spray. Payparticular attention to the gas fitting (6).• Check that the blue gasket in the air intake pipe (1)is correctly located in the gasket seat.• Insert the air intake pipe on the suction nozzles andsecure the pipe with the retaining screw (3).8.5 Maintaining the secondary heat exchangerd Danger! All water conducting components present adanger of burning and scalding. Only carry outwork on these components once they havecooled down.a Caution!Protect the electronics box turned downagainst sprayed water.h Note! When removing the secondary heat exchanger, protect the opening in the appliance from dirtcontamination!4321Fig. 8.6 Cleaning the secondary heat exchanger• Isolate the appliance from the house electricity circuit(see Chapter 8.2) and close the gas supply.• Close the maintenance cocks -if fitted- and the coldwater inlet valve on the inlet combination, and drainthe appliance.• Release the nut (4) on the secondary heat exchanger.• Release the clamp (1) on the preference changeovervalve.• Release the clamps (2) and (3) on the secondary heatexchanger.• Remove the secondary heat exchanger to the side.• Flush the secondary heat exchanger thoroughly withclean water.• When re-assembling, use new O rings and flat seals, the part numbers can be obtained from the partscatalogue.8.6 Cleaning the condense trap1Fig. 8.7 Cleaning the condense trapd Danger! If the device is operated with empty condensetrap, there is risk of poisoning through emittingflue gases. Therefore, fill the trap with water again aftereach cleaning operation.• Unscrew the lower section (1) of the water condense trap.• Clean the bottom of the trap by flushing it out withwater.• Fill the lower section with water until about 10 mmbelow the upper edge.• Fasten the lower section onto the condense trap again.Inspection and maintenance 8
