Adapting the unit to the heating installation 80020134823_07 ecoTEC plus Installation and maintenance instructions 253. Adjust the target temperature for the connected do-mestic hot water cylinder to the controller.◁ The boiler adopts the set target temperature whichis set on the controller (automatic calibration innewer controllers).4. Set the hot water temperature.Condition: Water hardness: > 3.57 mol/m³– Water temperature: ≤ 50 ℃7.16 Thoroughly flushing the heating system("hot")1. Ensure that the water within the boiler is clean and lowin temporary hardness and no system debris can circu-late through the boiler during first firing.2. Keep this firing time short and temperature no higherthan 50°C as this is just to remove contaminates andnot for balancing the system at this time.3. Operate the boiler until the water is up to temperature(max 50 °C).4. Check the heating system for leaks.5. Connect a hose to the drain valve at the boiler.6. Shut off the boiler, open the drain valve and all purgevalves and allow the water to flow out of the boilerquickly and fully.7. Close the drain valve.8. Proceed in accordance with the information providedon treating heating water in "Checking and treatingthe heating water/filling and supplementary water"(→ Page 18).9. Re-fill the boiler in accordance with "Filling and purgingthe heating installation" (→ Page 21).10. Ensure that the inhibitor levels are correctly maintainedthroughout the boilers operational life.NoteThe actual reading on the digital pressuregauge should ideally be 0,05 MPa (0,5 bar)plus an additional pressure correspondingto the highest point of the system above thebase of the boiler – 10 m head equals an ad-ditional 1 bar reading on the pressure gauge. The minimum pressure should not be lessthan 0,1 MPa (1 bar) in any installation. Ifthe system is to be treated with an inhibitorit should be applied at this stage in accord-ance with the manufacturer’s instructions.Further information can be found regardinginhibitor treatment in "Checking and treatingthe heating water/filling and supplementarywater" (→ Page 18).11. Install the side section. (→ Page 11)12. Install the front casing. (→ Page 10)8 Adapting the unit to the heatinginstallationTo reset the most important system parameters, use theUnit configuration menu item.Menu → Installer level Unit configurationOr manually relaunch the installation assistant.Menu → Installer level → Start inst. assistant8.1 Calling up diagnostics codesThe settings options for more complex systems can be foundin the Diagnostics menu.Menu → Installer level Diagnostics menuOverview of diagnostics codes (→ Page 39)Using the parameters that are marked as adjustable in theoverview of diagnostics codes, you can adapt the product tothe heating installation and the needs of the customer.▶ Press or to change the diagnostics code.▶ Press (Select) to select the parameter to change.▶ Press or to change the current setting.▶ Press (OK) to confirm your selection.8.2 Setting the partial heat loadThe partial heat load of the product is set to Auto at thefactory. If you still want to set a fixed maximum partial heatload, you can set a value under D.000, which equates to theproduct output in kW.If the product is operated in cascade, you must increasethe offset for the minimum fan speed of the unit to the fixedvalue 1500 rpm (D.050) when operating it with natural gasand you must never raise the speed under D.050 any higherwhen operating it with liquefied petroleum gas because ahigher speed is already being used.If a domestic hot water cylinder (cylinder type VIH) is in-stalled, you can adjust the partial load setting for the cylindercharging to the cylinder type (D.077).8.3 Setting the pump overrunYou can set the pump overrun under D.001 (factory setting:5 min.).NoteThe internal pump's operating mode is set toComfort at the factory. The pump is switched onwhen the heating flow temperature is not at Heat-ing off (→ Operating instructions) and the heatrequirement is enabled via an external control. You must not change the factory setting underD.018!8.4 Setting the maximum flow temperatureYou can set the maximum flow temperature for the heatingmode under D.071 (default setting: 75 °C).
