Change the wheel.Notes on spare wheel - see page 174.8. Screw on wheel nuts and tig htenslightly by hand until wheel is heldagainst the hub.9. Rotate wheel nut wrench anticlockwiseand lower vehicle to the ground.10. Tighten wheel nuts in a cross wisesequence, putting the w heel nutwrench on as far as possible.11. S tow replaced wheel in luggagecomp artm ent.12. S tow the jacking equipment andwarning triangle 3 - see pag es 172,173.13. C heck the tyre pressure of the newlyfitted wheel - see page 215. Adjust asnec essary .14. Hav e the new wheel balanced on thevehicle and have the tightening torqueof the wheel nuts check ed as soon aspossible, and if necessary, corrected.Tightening torque - see page 214.15. Replace defective tyre on the wheelthat was removed.16. Replace temp orary sp are wheel with afull specification wheel without delay .9 Warnin gElectronic ignition system s generate veryhig h voltages. Do not touch the ignitionsy stem; high voltage can b e fatal.
