UseNormal mode whenever possible.Control indicator Sport3 69.Mountain modeMountain mode should be selected atthe beginning of a trip before climbingsteep, uphill grades and whenexpecting to drive in very hilly ormountainous terrain. This modemaintains a reserve electrical chargeof the high voltage battery to providebetter grade climbing performance. While driving in Mountain mode, thevehicle will have less responsiveacceleration. Mountain mode will notchange normal vehicle brakingperformance for steep downhillgrades. If steep hill driving is expected, it isrecommended to select Mountainmode at least 20 minutes beforedriving on steep grades. This willallow the vehicle time to build asufficient battery charge reserve.
