Seats, interior 37To raise the seat, lift back rest release leverand push backrest to up right p osition.Push and pull on seat back rest to ensure itis locked , thus av oiding ex cessiv e forwardmovement in the ev ent of a c ollision.Rear seatsTo adjust ba ckrests, lift release lev erloca ted on top of b ackrest and m ovebackrest forw ards or backwa rd s to desiredposition.Do not lean on seat b ackrest whilstadjusting it or make adjustm ents while thevehicle is moving.When folding the rear seat back rests,ensure the sea t belts are unb uck led.Folding r ear seat back restsThe lugg age compartment c an beenla rg ed by folding the rear seat back restsonto the sea t cushions.To fold rear seat ba ckrests separately ,unbuckle all three rear sea t belts andensure front seats are not in reclinedposition.Push head restraints all the wa y down, liftbac krest release lever and fold backrestforwards and down onto seat c ushion.Do not allow pa ssengers to sit on foldedbac krest, or place any unrestrained loadson it.9 WarningIf longer objec ts, e.g. sk is, are to b ecarried on the back of the frontpassenger’s seat ba ckrest, ensure theyare not in the area in which the frontpassenger’s a irb ag inflates or in the areabetween the seat back rest and thevehicle body.
