Operating manual Manual Powder System SPRINT XE4 Basic Safety Instructions12 Order number 2354920 | Edition 01/20234 BASIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS4.1 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE OPERATOR4 Keep this operating manual at hand near the device at all times.4 Always follow existing regulations concerning occupational safety and accidentprevention regulations.4.1.1 Electrical Devices and EquipmentDanger of electric shock!Danger to life from electric shock:4 Place and operate device in accordance with the existing safety requirements withregard to the operating mode and ambient influences.4 May only be maintained by skilled electricians or under their supervision. With openhousings, the mains voltage poses a danger.4 Operate device in accordance with the safety regulations and electrotechnicalregulations.4 Do not disconnect any plug connections during operation.4 Label plug connections with the warning "Do not disconnect when energized".4 Must be repaired immediately in the event of problems.4 Decommission if device poses a danger or is damaged.4 Must be de-energized before work is commenced.4 Secure the device against being switched back on without authorization.4 Inform personnel about planned work.4 Observe electrical safety regulations.4 Ground all devices to a common grounding point.4 Only operate the device with a properly installed socket with a protective ground wireconnection.4 Keep liquids away from electrical devices.4.1.2 A Safe Work EnvironmentDanger due to dust formation!Severe or fatal injuries due to explosion danger or inhalation, swallowing or contact with theskin or eyes.4 The floor of the work area must be electrostatically conductive (measurement inaccordance with EN 1081:2018+A1:2020 or EN 61340-4-1:2004+A1:2015).4 In the spray booth, coating may only be performed with correctly designed and lockedtechnical ventilation.4 Make sure that grounding and potential equalization of all system parts is reliably andpermanently in effect and that they withstand the loads to be expected (e.g.mechanical, corrosion).4 Make sure that the personal protective equipment (see chapter Personal ProtectiveEquipment [8 13]) is present and being used.4 Make sure that all people within the work area wear static dissipative shoes. Thefootwear must correspond to EN 20344. The measured insulation resistance must notexceed 100 MΩ.
