P. 27www.wavecontrol.comUser’s ManualElectromagnetic Field Meter6.1.1 Time domain measurementIf you are using a broadband probe, this is thedefault mode. If you are using a selective probe, select this mode on the main screen virtual menu(“MORE…” "MODE” "Time”).Measurements in the time domain contain fieldsamples. One sample is saved each log intervalas defined in section 5.4. For example, a 6-minutemeasurement with a 0.5 s log interval will record720 samples. The log interval does not affectthe sampling rate of the probe, since the devicealways uses 2 samples per second to calculatethe average.Measurements are stored in an SQL database. The memory of the SMP2 allows storage of up to1,000 measurements and 1,000,000 samples. Before starting the measurement, all theparameters must be configured. This is donethrough the virtual menu.First of all, select “MENU”, then “MEASUREMENTOPTIONS”. You will need to establish thedesired parameters for each option, basically“Measurement time”, “Log interval”, "Averagetype", "Average interval" and "Spatial average"(see 5.4).Return to the main screen by pressing the “Home”button.Select the rest of the measurement parametersusing the virtual menu:• “FIELD”: E or H (if the probe allows).• “LIMIT”: Normative limit.• “UNIT”: Measurement units. To start logging samples, press the “LOG” buttonon the virtual menu. When logging starts, thedevice creates a new measurement recordidentified with its starting date.To stop logging samples, press the “END” button.Note: During logging, the parameters of the SMP2cannot be changed.Important: To store position information along with thefield values, the GPS receiver must be enabled beforelogging is started.
