1A-15G2.5A OPERATION 1A1.28 StorageBefore storing generator for a long period of time:1. Close the fuel valve and remove and empty sedimentcup under carburetor.2. Disconnect the fuel line from the carburetor. Placeopen end of fuel line into a suitable container and openfuel valve to drain fuel from tank.3. Loosen the drain screw on the carburetor and drainany remaining fuel from carburetor.4. Change the engine oil.5. Remove the spark plug and pour approximately onetablespoon (1 ounce) of clean engine oil into thecylinder. Crank the engine a few turns to distribute theoil to the inside of the cylinder walls.6. Pull the starter rope slowly until resistance is felt andleave handle in this position. This ensures that theintake and exhaust valves are closed.7. Store generator in a clean, dry area.Gasoline is extremely flammable. Drain fuel tank ina well-ventilated area. DO NOT drain tank in an areawith flames or sparks.1.29 TroubleshootingIf engine doesn't start, check that:1. Engine switch is on "Start".2. Fuel valves under fuel tank and on engine are open.3. Fuel tank has fuel.4. Choke lever is in correct position. Choke should beclosed when starting a cold engine.5. All loads are disconnected from generator.6. Spark plug is in good condition.7. Spark plug cap is tight.8. Engine oil level is adequate.If engine starts but there is no power at receptacles,check that:1. Circuit breaker is closed.2. Connector from generator to control panel is tight.WARNING!
