12GETTING STARTEDSPECIAL TIPSPik Pocket® TipThe Pik Pocket ® Tip delivers water or anti-bacterialsolutions deep into periodontal pockets.To use the Pik Pocket ® Tip, lean low over yoursink and place the soft tip against a tooth at a45-degree angle and gently place the tip under thegumline, into the pocket. Turn the unit on and cleanby gently following gumline, inserting tip in betweenteeth. Continue tracing along the gumline until thereservoir is empty.Tongue Cleaner TipPlace the tongue cleaner on your tongue and startthe Dental Water Jet – use the lowest pressuresetting, increase as comfortable. Gently placethe tongue cleaner in the center/midline of yourtongue about half way back and with lightpressure pull forward.Orthodontic TipStart on the last molar (back tooth). Aim tip at a 90 degreeangle to the tooth at the gumline. Gently glide tip along gumline,pausing briefly to lightly brush area between teeth and allaround orthodontic bracket, before proceeding to the next tooth.Continue process until you have cleaned and irrigated the insideand outside of both the upper and lower teeth.For optimal results it is recommended that orthodontic tips arereplaced after 6 months of use.Contact the service center for replacement jet tips.
