13CARE OF YOUR WATERPIK® ULTRA CORDLESS DENTAL WATER JETNever immerse the unit in water. Wipe the exterior when necessary with asoft cloth and mild non-abrasive cleanser. Reservoir may be washed withsoapy water or in top rack of dishwasher.Before cleaning, unplug from the electrical outlet.Before exposing the Dental Water Jet to freezing temperatures, removethe reservoir and run the unit until completely empty.To maximize the capacity and life of the rechargeable batteries, the unitshould be charged for 16 hours before the first use. Then unplug thecharger and do not recharge until the unit has been fully discharged bydaily use. The charger may then be reconnected and left plugged in whennot in use. For best results, the unit should be completely dischargedby use twice a year, and then fully recharged for 16 hours after eachdischarge. Make sure you push the switch into the ‘OFF’ position. Theunit will not charge if the switch is in the ON position.Battery disposalThe unit contains a Nickel Cadmium battery. At the end of the battery life,please recycle the unit at your nearest recycle center. The battery is notreplaceable. For unit availability, contact your nearest Authorised ServiceCenter.Service MaintenanceWaterpik ® Dental Water Jets have no consumer-serviceable electrical itemsand do not require routine service maintenance.
