Rough handling or distorting compo-nents could cause the control to malfunction.This control has been accurately calibrated at the factory.Any attempt to re-calibrate this control will void the White-Rodgers warranty.Do not use on circuits exceeding specified volt-ages. Higher voltages will damage control andcould cause shock or fire hazard.If in doubt about whether your wiring is millivolt,low or line voltage, have it inspected by a quali-fied heating and air conditioning contractor or alicensed electrician.CAUTION!A summer fan switch is incorporated in this control toprovide a convenient method for manual operation of thefan for air circulation during the summer.WARNING!INSTALLATIONRemoving CoverTo remove cover from control, grasp cover at top andbottom and pull outward. Grasping the cover by its sideswill make removal more difficult.Location1. The bimetal element should not be too close to anyhot surfaces of the heat exchanger. The elementshould always be at least 3“ away from any hotsurfaces unless the position has been determinedacceptable by the furnace manufacturer.2. If this is a new application, please consult the originalequipment manufacturer for proper location.Mounting, For Flush Mounting (Vertical orSloping Surface)1. Insert the element tube into the bonnet and attachcontrol case with #10 screws. (Two screws, diago-nally located, are sufficient.)2.
