To close the One Touch Button Panel, click the close button onthe panel.About the One Touch Button Panel’s Names and IconsThe button names, such as PDF, eMail or Fax, indicate the originalfactory settings for a button. For example, the eMail button is setup to scan documents then immediately attach them to a neweMail message in your eMail program. But you can change thename, the Destination Application, and any of the other aspects ofthe button.A question mark for a button means your computer does not haveappropriate software for the initial factory settings. In that case, youwould probably want to change the name and DestinationApplication to something else. For example, if you scan a lot ofdocuments that have faint images, such as hand-drawn sketchesin light pencil, you might want to change the button’s name toSketches, and the Destination Application to Microsoft Paint®, orsome other drawing program.A folder icon for a button, such as shown for button 7, means thatthe scanner sends the scanned image to the default folder atC:\Documents and Settings\\MyDocuments\My OneTouch Archive\PDF Documents without firstopening it in a Destination Application. To see the scanned image, open the file using the appropriate application for the file’s format. The file will be named with the current date.See “Configuring the One Touch Buttons” on page 30 to changethe settings of the buttons on the One Touch Button Panel.Click these arrows to cyclethrough the 9 buttons.
