To understand the features fully and to use the printer correctlyand effectively, please read this guide before using it.Keep this guide handy for a quick reference on using the printer. The illustrations used inthis guide are based on DocuPrint 340A.This guide is written with the assumption that you are familiar with the basic knowledge andway of operating your computer environment and the network environment.In this manual, safety instructions are preceded by the symbol .Always read and follow these instructions before performing the required procedures.This product is a “Class I Laser System” that does not emit dangerous laser beam. Operate the machineaccording to the instructions in the manual. Do not carry out any operation not mentioned in the manual.Otherwise, it may lead to unforeseen accident or machine breakdown.Fuji Xerox shares the global concern about environmental conservation and has integrated that concernin its business activities - from research and development to disposal. Along withour efforts to make environmental values a part of the Fuji Xerox culture, DocuPrint 240A/340A adoptsrecycled components that satisfy our strict quality standards.Reception interferenceWhen installed at a certain location, the machine may cause interference with radio and televisionreception. If you notice flickering or distorted images or noises on your audio-visual units, your machinemay be causing radio interference.Switch it off, and if the interference disappears, the machine is the cause of radio interference. Performthe following procedure until the interference is corrected.• Move the machine and the TV and/or radio away from each other.• Reposition or reorientate the machine and TV and/or radio.• Unplug the machine, TV and/or radio, and replug them into outlets that operate on different circuits.• Reorientate the TV and/or radio antennas and cables until the interference stops. For an outdoorantenna, ask your local electrician for support.• Use coaxial cable antennas.
