If the image is light or unclean anduntidy -Shake the print cartridge, thenrecheck.(1) NG: Weigh the print cartridge(2) OK: Lack of toner, near end-of-life.1. All of 1, 2, 3, 4:(1) The weight of the print cartridgeat end-of-life: 800 g ± 20 g(2) If image improved by shaking,replace with a new print cartridgeafter 50-100 sheets.■ Some part of theimage is not printed.2. Some part of image is not printed -Shake the print cartridge, thenrecheck.(1) NG: Weigh the print cartridge, andclean the LSU window with a cottonswab, then recheck.(2) OK: Lack of toner, near end-of-life.2. If it improves after cleaning theLSU window, then the print cartridgeis normal.(Because of foreign substance onthe LSU window, the image has notbeen printed completely.)■ A “tick tick” noiseoccurs periodically. 3. A “tick tick” noise occursperiodically - Measure the interval,and weigh the print cartridge.3. If the cycle of noise is about 2seconds, the toner inside the printcartridge has been nearly exhausted.(Purchase and replace with a newprint cartridge after printing about200 sheets).■ White verticalstripes on all or partof the output:4. Weigh the print cartridge. 4.This is a phenomenon caused bylack of toner; replace with a newprint cartridge.Toner Contamination ■ Toner periodicallyfalls on the paper. 1. Toner contamination.(1) Check the pattern of the tonercontamination.(2) Check the appearance of bothends of the print cartridge OPC drum.1. If both ends of the OPC drumare contaminated with toner:Check the life of the print cartridge.(In case of less than 1000 g, the lifemay be expired.) or check the rate ofremain toner if remain toner isbelow 10% the toner is almostempty.2. Check whether it could berecycled.3. If it cannot be recycled:Replace the print cartridge.■ Contaminated withtoner on prints partlyor over the wholesurface.2. The center of the printed matter iscontaminated with toner.(1) Check whether foreign substancesor toner are stuck to the terminal(contact point) of the print cartridge.(2) Check whether the state of theterminal assembly is normal.
