1 Notes for Maintenance1.1 Battery Pack Connection for Motor1-1180930-1CD180930-1CDMH9001 Notes for Maintenance1.1 Battery Pack Connection for MotorThe connectors (crimped contact-pin) for the battery backup are installedat the end point of the encoder cables for the motor (BAT and OBT aremarked).Connect the battery pack according to the following procedure.1. Remove the caps attached to the battery backup connectors of themotor.2. Connect the battery pack (HW9470932) with the battery backupconnectors located at the end point of the encoder cable. (Under thiscondition, remove the encoder connector and carry out themaintenance checks.)3. After the maintenance check, confirm that all the connectors areconnected, then remove the battery pack. Install the caps attached tothe battery backup connectors of the motor.Fig. 1-1: Battery Pack Connection• When performing maintenance such as replacement of awire harness in the Manipulator, the encoder connectormay be necessary to be removed. In this case, be sure toconnect the battery pack to the battery backup connectorbefore removing the encoder connector.Removing the encoder connector without connecting thebattery pack leads to disappearance of the encoderabsolute data.• For the battery pack connection, refer to Fig. 1-1 “BatteryPack Connection”.Do not remove the battery pack in the connector base.baab0BTBAT BAT*0BT*Encoder connectorMotorMotor power connectorBattery backup connectorBattery pack (479348-2)17 of 79
