7.6 Convenient Function to Use during Trial Operation7.6.1 Program Jogging7-137 Trial Operation and Actual Operation7.6 Convenient Function to Use during Trial OperationThis section describes some convenient operations that you can use during trial operation.Use them as required.7.6.1 Program JoggingYou can use program jogging to perform continuous operation with a preset operation pattern, travel distance, movement speed, acceleration/deceleration time, waiting time, and number ofmovements. You can use this operation when you set up the system in the same way as for normal joggingto move the Servomotor without connecting it to the host controller in order to check Servomo-tor operation and execute simple positioning operations.PreparationsConfirm the following conditions before you perform program jogging.• The parameters must not be write prohibited.• The main circuit power supply must be ON.• There must be no alarms.• There must be no hard wire base block (HWBB).• The servo must be OFF.• The range of machine motion and the safe movement speed of your machine must be con-sidered when you set the travel distance and movement speed.• There must be no overtravel.Additional Information• You can use the functions that are applicable to position control, such as the position refer-ence filter.• The overtravel function is enabled.Program Jogging Operation PatternAn example of a program jogging operation pattern is given below. In this example, the Servo-motor direction is set to Pn000 = n.0 (Use CCW as the forward direction).Settingof Pn530 Setting Operation Patternn.0(Waiting time→ Forwardtravel dis-tance) ×Number ofmovementsContinued on next page.Number of movements (Pn536)yyMovement SpeedRotary Servomotor:Pn533Linear Servomotor:Pn585Speed 0Waiting time(Pn535)Acceleration/decelerationtime (Pn534)Waiting time(Pn535)Waiting time(Pn535)Traveldistance(Pn531)Traveldistance(Pn531)Traveldistance(Pn531)
