VX-8GR OPERATING MANUAL 41CTCSS/DCS/EPCS OPERATION1) The vibrator operation can be set independently on each operating bandof both VFO A and VFO B.2) When the vibrator is activated, press any key, rotate the DIAL knob, orduring a transmission, the vibrator will halt temporarily. The “under line” or “dashedline” under the mode icon will blink during this pause. Five seconds after any of theabove operations, the vibrator will resume.TONE CALLING (1750 HZ)If the repeaters in your country require a 1750-Hz burst tone for access (typically in Eu-rope), you can set the e key to serve as a “Tone Call” switch instead. To change theconfiguration of this switch, we again use the Menu to help us.1. Press and hold the m key for one second to enter the Set Mode.2. Rotate the DIAL knob to select Set Mode Item 56: MONI/T-CALL.3. Press the m key briefly to enable adjustment of this SetMode Item.4. Rotate the DIAL knob to select “T-CALL” on the display.5. Press the PTT switch briefly to save the new setting andexit to normal operation.To access a repeater, press and hold in the e key for the amountof time specified by the repeater owner/operator. The transmitter will automatically beactivated, and a 1750-Hz audio tone will be superimposed on the carrier.
