Be sure the outboard is securely fas-tened to the transom or a stable stand.@CAUTION:@Change the engine oil after the first 10hours of operation, and every 100 hoursor at 6-month intervals thereafter. Other-wise, the engine will wear quickly.@The engine oil can be extracted with an oilchanger (recommended), or drained byremoving the oil drain plug.Extracting the oil with an oil changer(normal oil change)1) Put the outboard motor in an uprightposition (not tilted).2) Pull out the dipstick and use the oilchanger to extract the oil.
