ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS8-169b. Turn the main switch to “ON”.c. Measure the intake air pressure sensor out-put voltage. EAS28420CHECKING THE INTAKE AIRTEMPERATURE SENSOR1. Remove:• Intake air temperature sensor(from the air filter case)WARNINGEWA14110• Handle the intake air temperature sensorwith special care.• Never subject the intake air temperaturesensor to strong shocks. If the intake airtemperature sensor is dropped, replace it.2. Check:• Intake air temperature sensor resistanceOut of specification → Replace. a. Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 100) to the in-take air temperature sensor terminals asshown.b. Immerse the intake air temperature sensor“1” in a container filled with water “2”.NOTE:Make sure that the intake air temperature sensorterminals do not get wet.c. Place a thermometer “3” in the water.d. Slowly heat the water, then let it cool down tothe specified temperature.e. Measure the intake air temperature sensorresistance. ET3P61017CHECKING THE ACCESSORY BOXSOLENOID1. Check:• Accessory box solenoid resistanceOut of specification → Replace. a. Disconnect the accessory box solenoid cou-pler from the wire harness.b.
