Speaker PlacementIt the speakers are placed directly on a carpet or rug,there is a danger of distortion of the bass tones. Placethem on a solid base or shelf, or on the floor with blocksunder them,The best location is one in which the speakers are placedwith their backs against a hard wall, If the facing wall ishard, or has large windows, a better effect will be ob-tained by covering it with a curtain,The speakers can be placed upright or tying down. Thecenter of the speaker should be level with your earswhen in the listening position,Be careful not to place the speakers too close to, facing,or on the same shelf with your turntable; thiscan causehum.Avoid locations exposed to direct sunlight, heat, dust orexcessive dampness.Grille Assembly (NS-1000)The grille is packed in the bottom of the speaker cartonfor shipment.To instal! the grille, first press one side against the frontbaffle as shown in the illustration, then press the otherside into place.Note: Be careful not to press too hard when installingthe grille; excessive force can bend the grilleframe.Grille Removal (NS-1000)The protect against vibrations of the grille frame whenthe speakers are used, the grille frame fits quite tightlyinto its groove on the speaker front baffle.To remove the grille, hook your fingers into the protrud-ing part of the frame, then pull down and out at thesame time to loosen the top edge.Be careful not to tear or stretch the grille cloth whenremoving the grille,
