CONNECTIONS10 EnFor connection, keep the speaker cables as short aspossible. Do not bundle or roll the excess cabling. If theconnections are faulty, no sound will be heard from thesubwoofer or the speakers, or both. Make sure that the +and – polarity markings of the speaker cables are observedand connected correctly. If these cables are reversed, thesound will be unnatural and lack bass.CautionDo not let the bare speaker wires touch each other, becausethis could damage the subwoofer or the amplifier, or both ofthem.■Before connectingRemove 10 mm (3/8”) of insulation from the ends of thespeaker cables.■How to connect1 Loosen the terminal’s knob, as shown in the figure.2 Insert the bare wire.3 Tighten the knob.4 Test the firmness of the connection by pulling lightlyon the cable at the terminal.U.S.A., Canada and Australia models onlyBanana Plug connections are also possible.1 Tighten the terminal knob.2 Simply insert the banana plug into the terminalAfter all connections are completed, plug the subwooferand other audio/video components into AC outlets.Connecting to the INPUT1/OUTPUTterminals of the subwooferGood No Good10 mm(3/8 ”)213Red: positive (+)Black: negative (–)Plug in the subwoofer to the AC outlet21To AC outlet
