If the output power is higherthan the power capacity, malfunction or firemay occur.Yamaha cannot be held responsible fordamage caused by improper use ormodifications to the device.PA-8 2/2NOTICETo avoid the possibility of malfunction/damageto the product, or damage to other property,follow the notices below.Handling and maintenanceDo not expose the product to excessive dustor vibration, or extreme cold or heat (such as indirect sunlight, near a heater, or in a car duringthe day), in order to prevent the possibilityof panel disfiguration, unstable operation, ordamage to the internal components.When placing the speaker face down, alwaysplace it on a flat surface.When connecting at high impedance usingthe optional speaker transformer, make surethe audio signal is passed through an 80Hz orabove high-pass filter before being input to thespeakers.Be sure to observe the amplifier’s rated loadimpedance (see Owner’s Manual, DigitalVersion), particularly when connectingspeakers in parallel. Connecting an impedanceload outside the amplifier’s rated range candamage the amplifier.Protection CircuitThis speaker system has an internal protectioncircuit that shuts off the speaker unit when anexcessive input signal is applied. If the speakerunit emits no sound, reduce the volume level ofthe amplifier immediately. (The sound will returnautomatically in several seconds.)Air blowing out of the bass reflex ports isnormal, and often occurs when the speakeris handling program material with heavy basscontent.Do not place vinyl, plastic or rubber objects onthe product, since this might discolor the panel.When cleaning the product, use a dry andsoft cloth.
