If this oc-curs, have a Yamaha dealer check theself-diagnosis system. (See page 3-15for an explanation of the self-diagnosisdevice.)The electrical circuit of the warning lightcan be checked by turning the key to“ON”. The warning light should comeon for a few seconds, and then go off.If the warning light does not come oninitially when the key is turned to “ON”,or if the warning light remains on, havea Yamaha dealer check the electricalcircuit.EAU51850Traction control system indica-tor/warning light “TCS”This indicator/warning light flasheswhen the traction control system en-gages.The electrical circuit of the light can bechecked by turning the key to “ON”.The light should come on for a few sec-onds, and then go off.If the light does not come on initiallywhen the key is turned to “ON”, or if thelight remains on, have a Yamaha deal-er check the electrical circuit.When the traction control system is setto a “TCS” mode other than “OFF”, andthe traction control system is operating,the indicator light flashes.If the traction control system disableswhile riding, “TCS OFF” is displayed,and the indicator/warning light and en-gine trouble warning light come on.(See page 3-21 for an explanation ofthe traction control system.)Try to reset the traction control systemand the lights by following the proce-dures under “Resetting” on page 3-23.EAU11574Shift timing indicator lightThis indicator light can be set to comeon and go off at the desired enginespeeds and is used to inform the riderwhen it is time to shift to the next highergear.The electrical circuit of the indicatorlight can be checked by turning the keyto “ON”. The indicator light shouldcome on for a few seconds, and thengo off.If the indicator light does not come oninitially when the key is turned to “ON”,or if the indicator light remains on, havea Yamaha dealer check the electricalcircuit.
