Ensure all drain cocks are closed.Note: The drain cocks are openedbefore shipping from the factory.Marine gear ZF25A does nothave a drain cock on the clutchcooler.2. Loosen the filler cap of coolant tank torelieve the pressure, then remove thefiller cap.WARNINGBurn Hazard.Never remove the coolant filler cap ifthe engine is hot. Steam and hotengine coolant will spray out andseriously burn you. Pour coolant slowly into coolant tank(Figure 18, (4)) to avoid air bubbles.Fill until coolant overflows from the fillerport.NOTICENever pour cold coolant into a hotengine.4. Align filler cap tabs (Figure 18, (1)) withfiller port notches (Figure 18, (3)) andtighten filler cap (Figure 18, (2)) firmly.NOTICEAlways tighten coolant tank cap securelyafter checking coolant tank. Steam canspray out during engine operation if thecap is loose.Note: The coolant level rises in thereservoir during operation. Afterstopping the engine, the coolantwill cool down and the extracoolant will return to coolanttank.Figure 195. Check the coolant level in the reservoir.The level should be at the FULL mark(Figure 19, (2)).
