Before using the marine gear, be sureto move the throttle handle to a low idleposition (less than 1000 min -1 ). Movethe throttle handle slowly to a higherspeed position after completing marinegear engagement.2. When moving the handle betweenFORWARD (Figure 2, (1 or 3)) andREVERSE (Figure 2, (3 or 1)), bringthe handle to NEUTRAL (Figure 2, (2))and pause before slowly shifting to thedesired position. Never shift abruptlyfrom FORWARD to REVERSE or viceversa.NOTICE• Never shift the marine gear at highengine speed. During normaloperation, the marine gear should onlybe shifted with the engine at idle.• When sailing, set the remote controlhandle in NEUTRAL. Not doing soWILL introduce slippage or anydamage and void your warranty.Switching to Trolling (KMH4AOnly)Use the trolling handle to begin trolling. When changing from FORWARD orREVERSE to trolling, the speed of thepropeller revolution will be reduced to aminimum.0004513(1)(2)(4)(3)
