CONTROLSEnglish-28Mower Deck Cut Height Lift LeverThe lifting lever is used to place the mower deck inthe transport position or one of the 14 different cuttingheight positions.The cutting height is set by placing a peg in the holefor the desired cutting height and the peg is thenlocked on the inside (hidden in the illustration) with thesupplied pin.To raise the deck to the transport position, pull1.the lever backward to the locked position toengage the transport position.To lower the deck, pull the lock handle to the2.lifting lever and push forward toward the peg toengage the set cutting height.The lifting lever can also be used to temporarily3.adjust the cutting height, such as when passinga minor bump in the lawn.Some models are equipped with an optional foot assistpedal for ease of deck maneuvering.8011-5251. Theheights are measured from the ground up tothe blade tip with the engine not running.
