The LDAP entries displayed on the IP phone are read only. Users can notadd, edit or delete the LDAP entries. When an LDAP server is properly configured, the IPphone can look up entries from the LDAP server in a wide variety of ways. The LDAPserver indexes all the data in its entries, and "filters" may be used to select just thedesired contact or group, and return just the desired information. The configurations on the IP phone limit the amount of displayed entries when queryingfrom the LDAP server, and decide how the attributes are displayed and sorted. There are two ways to perform an LDAP search on the IP phone: Simply start a search against LDAP by entering a number. All suitable entries willbe shown according to your query setup. Assign a DSS key to be an LDAP key, and press the LDAP key to enter the LDAPSearch interface when the IP phone is idle.VoIPon www.voipon.co.uk sales@voipon.co.uk Tel: +44 (0)1245 808195 Fax: +44 (0)1245 808299
