53Freezing fresh foodThe 4-star freezer is suitable for long termstorage of commercially frozen food and for freezingfresh food.To fast freeze food, if the appliance has been out ofoperation, allow it to run on the fast freeze setting forat least three hours before loading the food.If, however, the appliance is already in operation, setit to run on the fast freeze setting for at least 24hours before loading the food.Place the food to be frozen in the uppercompartment of the freezer as this is the coldest part.The temperature alarm light (C)The temperature alarm light turns on automaticallywhenever the temperature within the freezer risesabove a certain value which might endangersatisfactory long-term conservation.It is perfectly normal for the temperature alarm lightto remain lit up for a short time after the freezer isinitially turned on. It will remain lit up until theoptimum temperature for the conservation of frozenfood is attained.Cleaning the interiorBefore using the appliance for the first time, washthe interior and all internal accessories with luke-warm water and some neutral soap so as to removethe typical smell of a brand-new product, then drythoroughly.Do not use detergents or abrasivepowders, as these will damage the finish.USE OF THE FREEZERStartingInsert the power supply plug into the nearest wallsocket (the function indicator light (A) will light upindicating that the freezer is receiving electricalinput). Turn the thermostat knob (E) to the right to amedium setting (the temperature alarm light (C) willlight up).To turn off the freezer, turn the thermostat knob tothe «O» position.The refrigerator compartment will remain operating.Temperature regulationThe temperature is automatically regulated and canbe increased to achieve a higher temperature(warmer) by rotating the thermostat knob towardlower settings or reduced (colder) rotating the knobtowards higher settings.However, the exact setting should be chosenkeeping in mind that the temperature inside therefrigerator depends on:• room temperature;• how often the door is opened;USEControl panel123456ONSA EDCBSA.
