Once thecooking zone has cooled down it can be operatedagain.... if the display flashes?If the hob has been used at a high setting for along period of time, the overheating protection ofthe electronic control will become active and thefront left cooking zone will become inoperable.This occurs to prevent damage to the electroniccontrols. The front left cooking zone will operateagain once the appliance has cooled down andis no longer in the display. The front right and rearcooking zones can still be operated during thistime.... if the display lights up?Check, whetherD the touch controls are entirely or partly covered orcontaminated by liquid or by a wet cloth.D Clean the ceramic glass surface and wipe it dry.D If after switching the appliance back on, the dis-play still shows . Contact your local ServiceForce Centre.... the cooking zone automatically switches backto setting 7 during cooking?D Because the temperature is too high, the electro-nic control thermal cutoff has triggered an auto-matic reduction of the cooking setting. You can in-crease the cooking setting again, after thecookuing zone has cooled down. If you try to in-crease the setting again and the display flashes,this means that it is not yet possible to carry outthe desired increase, because the appliance isstill too hot.If after carrying out the above checks your appliance isstill faulty, disconnect from the mains supply and con-tact your local Service Force Centre.In guarantee customers should ensure that theabove checks have been as the engineer will makea charge if the fault is not a mechanical or electricalbreakdown.Please note that proof of purchase is required forany in--guarantee service calls.
