8Operating instructionsGeneral informationThe cooking surface is made of proven ceramic glass.and consists of 4 cooking zones. The rapid glowingcooking zones with that the especially efficient radiantheating elements will considerably reduce the durationof heating--up.The cooking surface is pore--free and also insen-sitive to rapid changes in temperature. Pots cantherefore be moved from a hot to cold zone.When switching on a cooking zone you may heara short buzz. That is a characteristic of all ceramicglass cooking zones and does not impair the func-tion or the lifetime of the appliance.Always put pots and pans onto the cooking zonebefore switching on.TOUCH--CONTROL sensor fieldsD To operate the TOUCH--CONTROL sensor fieldsput your finger flat from top onto the desired field,until corresponding indicators will come on or goout, respectively until the desired function will becarried out.Switching on the applianceThe entire appliance is switched on by means of thetouch control ON/OFF.D Keep the control ON/OFF touched for about twoseconds.The digital indicators show and the digital pointflashes.Once the appliance has been switched on, a coo-king zone must be selected within 10 secondswith use of the cooking zone selector. If a cookingzone is not selected the appliance will switch offfor safety reasons.Switching off the applianceTo fully switch off the appliance use the touch controlON/OFF.D Keep the sensor field ON/OFF touched for abouttwo seconds.After switching off of one individual cooking zoneor of the entire cooking area, the residual heat isindicated with (“hot”) in the digital indicators ofthe corresponding cooking zones.
