It can alsoreceive a Second Audio Program (SAP), that is, a programbroadcast with two audio portions (two languages). The fol-lowing modes of operation are available. NOTE: All adjust-ments on the AUDIO Menu axe optional. You do not haveto use these features in order to use your TV.STEREODirects the sound to the left and right speakers as suppliedby the program source (broadcast TV station, VCR, etc.)MONO (Monaural)Directs the same sound to both left and right speakers evenif the source being received is in stereo.2ND AUDIO/SAP (Second Audio Program or SAP)Directs the sound for the (SAP) Second Audio Program(typically a second language) to both the left and rightspeakers. SAP sound is always monaural.AUDIO Menu while using AUX channel. (To get theAUDIO Menu on the left select a regular channel.)Automatic Mode SelectionWe recommend that you use the STEREO option. The TVwill switch automatically between the STEREO andMONO modes dependent on the" signal beirtg received.If you prefer SAP, use the 2ND AUDIO/SAJ' option. Onthose stations which broadcast two audio portions, you willhear the SAP (usually a second language). When the SAPbroadcast ends, the TV switches automatically betweenSTEREO and MONO mode:_. To increase the relative sound levelin the Left (L) speaker, press ADJUST (ADJ) Left. To in-crease the relative sound level in the Right (R) speaker,press ADJUST (ADJ) Right.AUDIOUse ADJUST (ADJ) Left/Right to select the audio desired.You may choose either STEREO, MONO or 2ND AUDIO/SAP.
