GETTING TO KNOW YOUR TVTYPICAL CONTROL PANELThe control panel on your TV may differ from the oneshown.NOTE: Some TVs have a vertical control panel -- the ope-ration is the same as described for the control panels shownabove.ENTER (ENI) SELECT (SEL) VOLUME (VOL) Up!Dawn OFF-ONPress to see the Channel/Time dis- Press during on-screen menu Press to increase or decrease Press to turn TVplay, or to remove any on-screen operations to select a menu op- the sound level, power ON or OFF.I_ENTER •ADJUSTI_ SELE7MENU?d)JUST (ADJ) Left/RightPress during on-screen menu ope-ration to see information/status dis-play for selected option. ADD/DELoption for channel programminginformation.Remote WindowPoint the remotecontrol towardsthis window to ope-rate the TV.SLEEP TIMERSome remote controls are equipped with a TIMER buttonthat provides access to the SLEEP TIMER available withsome TV models. Byusing the SLEEP TIMER, you canprogram the TV to automatically shut offaffer a periodfrom 15 minutes up to 4 hours.To Set SLEEP TIMER1. Press TIMER to see status display.2. Press T1MER repeatedly until you reach desiredshut-off time.One minute before the TV shuts off, the GOOD NIGHTdisplay appears on the screen. At this time you have a choi-ce of the following three actions.1. Do nothing. The TV will shut offin one minute.2. Remow." the GOOD NIGHT display by pressing EN-TER (ENT). The TV will still shut offin one minute.3. Delay the shut off by using TIMER to select a newshut off time.To Cancel the SLEEP-TIMERYou can cancel the SLEEP TIMER by setting the SLEEPTIMER status to OFF.
