- 14 -Nino® user manualØ Do not drive in difficult conditions if you cannot adhere to the safety advice and warnings given in this manual or if you are under theinfluence of drugs or alcohol.Ø For your safety, do not use your Nino® and recharge it in case of insufficient battery life. The same applies in cases of repeated warningsor if the speed is limited.Ø Please place any items that you are carrying in your backpack instead of putting them on the floor.Ø Make sure that the Nino® is switched off and the kickstands are withdrawn before transport; otherwise, a rapid rotation of the wheelsmay cause injuries. It is recommended to transport the Nino® with two people. Do not raise it by the wing, as you may pinch yourfingers.Ø Check that no screws are missing and that no part is damaged before use. Do not start the Nino® as long as these problems have notbeen resolved.Ø Perform regular maintenance on your Nino® in accordance with section 7 of this manual.3.5 Smart safety system/automatic protectionIn the following situations, the Nino® will reduce its speed automatically to a level which will ensure your protection:Ø Overload or prolonged handling on a slope. The smart protection will be activated and the Nino® will tilt backwards to remind thedriver that he/she should stop when the load on the Nino® exceeds the weight initially provided for too long. This may happen in thefollowing cases: when prolonged parking on a steep slope is felt as an overload by the device or in case of an overweight driver. Whenthese situations arise, the driver must exit the Nino®. The driver may fall if he/she remains on the device after more than 5 seconds ofstandby.Ø Insufficient battery life. When the battery life is less than 40%, the maximum speed in balanced mode is reduced, meaning the Nino®limits its speed.Ø Insufficient battery power. If the smart safety system is activated during movement because the power level of your battery is too low(generally below 10%), you must deploy the kickstands in parking mode immediately and recharge the Nino®. In this case, the floor willposition itself so as to force the driver to stop if he/she continues to move.
