- 31 -Nino® user manual6.2 Battery transport and maintenanceThe battery on the Nino® demands the greatest attention. A well-maintained battery can ensure optimal performance, even after a 20 or 30,000km trip, whereas if you neglect it, it can function well below its abilities or become damaged after only a few months. In order to prolong the life ofyour battery, you must perform the maintenance and verifications according to the following recommendations:1. Read the recommendations on the label of the battery closely.2. Keep the battery in a dry environment where the temperature is between 0°C and 40°C. Using or storing the battery in a very hightemperature environment (above 50°C) or in a very low temperature (below -20°C) will affect its lifespan.3. Try to store your battery in a cool and dry environment. In an extremely humid environment, the dew or the water may infiltrate thebattery, quickly leading to damages. If a humid environment is unavoidable, store it in an airtight bag.4. Do not use the full capacity of the battery and recharge it daily, but do so when there is still 10%-20% power remaining. Recharge thebattery each time you have finished using your Nino®. Frequent recharging will not affect its performance or its longevity, but using ituntil it is totally drained certainly will.a) If the battery is mounted on the Nino, the receptor on the remote control will continue to consume energy. In addition: It is notnecessary to take out the battery when the period of non-use of the Nino® does not exceed 30 days, but remember tocompletely recharge the battery before storing it.b) Completely recharge the battery, take it out, and store it in a cool and dry place if you don’t expect to use your Nino® for aperiod longer than 30 days.c) When the battery must be stored for a very long period (more than 180 days), recharge it every 5 or 6 months in order toconserve its capacity and its lifespan.Remember to recharge the battery after each trip. Using the battery until it is completely drained maycause irreversible damages that are not covered under the warranty.
