Verifying Analog Terminal Card Ports 1454 Insert the card into the slot. Slide the card into the chassis until you feel ittouch the connectors. To seat the card into the connectors, apply firmpressure to both the left and right sides of the front of the card.CAUTION: If you cannot seat the card with light pressure, remove it andcheck for obstructions.5 Tighten the left and right screws on the front of the card to secure it tothe chassis.Wait at least 2 minutes for the Analog Terminal Card to initialize and forthe system to update its database.Verifying AnalogTerminal Card PortsAfter you have used the Auto Discover feature to add an Analog TerminalCard, you can verify that the card is properly installed by using the NBXNetSet utility, described next, and by examining the status lights on thefront of the card, which are described on page 46.Using the NBX NetSetUtilityTo verify the proper installation of an Analog Terminal Card using the NBXNetSet utility:1 Log in to the NBX NetSet utility using the administrator username andpassword.2 Click Telephone Configuration > ATA.3 Compare the MAC addresses or port numbers that appear in the list tothe MAC address and port numbers you recorded before you inserted thiscard.The four ports of an Analog Terminal Card appear in the list of ATAs,along with the ports of any previously discovered Analog Terminal Cards,and any Analog Terminal Adapters (ATAs) and the ATA port on anNBX V3000.Adding an AnalogTerminal Adapter(ATA)To add an Analog Terminal Adapter (ATA) to your NBX system you mustfirst enable the Auto Discover feature.
