Section 2 Engineering tool set2.1 IntroductionThe structure of a monitoring and control system for electrical substations has aprinciple structure as shown in Figure 2. It contains a number of IEDs for thevarious purposes.For performance reasons, do not insert more than 150 IEDs of 650series type in one PCM600 project. In PCM600 version 2.3, themaximum number of IEDs is 60.
