38 Program featuresSafety and protectionsThere are following protections:• output short circuit• overcurrent• energy storage overvoltage• output phase lost• DC bus overvoltage• IGBT overtemperature• module overtemperature. There are following protections in parallel-connected DC/DC converter modules:• phase current difference between parallel modules• DC voltage difference between parallel modules• monitoring of temperature difference between parallel modules. Programmable protection functionsExternal events (parameters 131.01 and 131.10)An external event signal can be connected to a selectable input. When the signal is lost,an external event (fault, warning, or a mere log entry) is generated.Local control loss detection (parameter 149.05)The parameter selects how the DC/DC converter unit reacts to a control panel or PC toolcommunication break.Earth leakage fault source selection (parameter 131.28)The parameter selects in which digital input or digital input/output earth leakage fault isconnected.Temperature supervisions Choke temperatureThermal switches supervise the choke temperature outside the DC/DC converter module. The switches are connected in series and wired to a digital input (DI1) of the control unit(1 = OK, 0 = overtemperature). In case of an overtemperature, a switch opens and thecontrol program generates first a warning, and then, if the overtemperature indicationremains over a pre-defined delay, the DC/DC converter unit trips to a fault. The user canadjust the delay time with a parameter (110.06).Settings and diagnosticsParameters: 101.31 Ambient temperature, 105.11 Converter temperature %, 110.06 DI1OFF delayWarnings: AE14 Excess temperature, AE15 Excess temperature difference, AE16 IGBTtemperatureFaults: 4E02 IGBT temperature, 4E03 Excess temperature, 4E04 Excess temperaturedifference, 4E06 Cabinet temperature fault
