1.2.3.4 Safety risks related to pneumatic/hydraulic systemsGeneralSpecial safety regulations apply to pneumatic and hydraulic systems.NoteAll components that remain pressurized after separating the machine from thepower supply must be provided with clearly visible drain facilities and a warningsign that indicates the need for pressure relief before adjustments or performingany maintenance on the manipulator system.Residual energy• Residual energy can be present in these systems. After shutdown, particularcare must be taken.• The pressure must be released in the complete pneumatic or hydraulicsystems before starting to repair them.• Work on hydraulic equipment may only be performed by persons with specialknowledge and experience of hydraulics.• All pipes, hoses, and connections have to be checked regularly for leaks anddamage.
