When heating food in plastic, paper, or othercombustible containers, keep an eye on oven due to thepossibility of ignition.c. Remove wire twist-ties from paper or plastic bags beforeplacing bag in oven.d. If materials inside the oven ignite, keep oven doorCLOSED, turn oven off and disconnect the power cord,or shut off power at the fuse or circuit breaker panel.e. DO NOT use the cavity for storage. DO NOT leavepaper products, cooking utensils, or food in the cavitywhen not in use.To avoid risk of fire in the oven cavity: Liquids such as water, coffee, or tea are able to beoverheated beyond the boiling point without appearingto be boiling due to surface tension of the liquid. Visiblebubbling or boiling when the container is removed fromthe microwave oven is not always present. THIS COULDRESULT IN VERY HOT LIQUIDS SUDDENLY BOILINGOVER WHEN A SPOON OR OTHER UTENSIL ISINSERTED INTO THE LIQUID. To reduce the risk of injuryto persons:i. Do not overheat the liquid.ii. Stir the liquid both before and halfway through heating it.iii. Do not use straight-sided containers with narrow necks.iv. After heating, allow the container to stand in themicrowave oven for a short time before removing thecontainer.v. Use extreme care when inserting a spoon or other utensilinto the container.1. Do not deep fat fry in oven. Fat could overheat and behazardous to handle.2. Do not cook or reheat eggs in shell or with an unbrokenyolk using microwave energy. Pressure may build up anderupt. Pierce yolk with fork or knife before cooking.3. Pierce skin of potatoes, tomatoes, and similar foods beforecooking with microwave energy. When skin is pierced,steam escapes evenly.4. Do not operate equipment without load or food in ovencavity.5. Use only popcorn in packages designed and labeled formicrowave use. Popping time varies depending onoven wattage. Do not continue to heat after popping hasstopped. Popcorn will scorch or burn. Do not leave ovenunattended.6. Do not use regular cooking thermometers in oven. Mostcooking thermometers contain mercury and may cause anelectrical arc, malfunction, or damage to oven.7. Do not use metal utensils in oven.8. Do not use aluminum foil in oven. Never use paper, plastic,or other combustible materials that are not intended forcooking.9. Only use utensils that are suitable for use in microwaveovens.10. When cooking with paper, plastic, or other combustiblematerials, follow manufacturer’s recommendations onproduct use.11. Do not use paper towels which contain nylon or othersynthetic fibers. Heated synthetics could melt and causepaper to ignite.12. Do not heat sealed containers or plastic bags in oven.Food or liquid could expand quickly and cause containeror bag to break. Pierce or open container or bag beforeheating.13. To avoid pacemaker malfunction, consult physician orpacemaker manufacturer about effects of microwaveenergy on pacemaker.14. An authorized servicer MUST inspect equipment annually.Record all inspections and repairs for future use.15. Clean oven regularly and remove any food deposits.16. Failure to maintain the oven in a clean condition couldlead to deterioration of the surface that could adverselyaffect the life of the appliance and possibly result in ahazardous situation.17.
