HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS9.1 Inner side of the doorIn some models, on the inner side ofthe door you can find:• The numbers of the shelf positions.• Information about the heating func-tions, recommended shelf positionsand temperatures for typical dishes.The temperature and bakingtimes in the tables are guidelinesonly. They depend on the rec-ipes and the quality and quantityof the ingredients used.• The appliance has five shelf levels.Count the shelf levels from the bottomof the appliance floor.• The appliance has a special systemwhich circulates the air and constantlyrecycles the steam. With this systemyou can cook in a steamy environmentand keep the food soft inside andcrusty outside. It decreases the cook-ing time and energy consumption to aminimum.• Moisture can condense in the appli-ance or on the door glass panels. Thisis normal. Always stand back from theappliance when you open the appli-ance door while cooking. To decreasethe condensation, operate the appli-ance for 10 minutes before cooking.• Clean the moisture after each use ofthe appliance.• Do not put the objects directly on theappliance floor and do not put alumi-nium foil on the components whenyou cook. This can change the bakingresults and cause damage to the en-amel.9.2 Baking cakes• Do not open the oven door before 3/4of the set cooking time is up.• If you use two baking trays at the sametime, keep one empty level betweenthem.9.3 Cooking meat and fish• Use a deep pan for very fatty food toprevent the oven from stains that canbe permanent.• Leave the meat for approximately 15minutes before carving so that thejuice does not seep out.• To prevent too much smoke in theoven during roasting, add some waterinto the deep pan.
