See the Customization section of this manual for details ofitems that can be customized and their default settings.enablingCustomizationTo enable customization, click the box to check it. When customization isenabled, the Central Data Station will check the Customization Profile forthe location each time an analyzer is downloaded. If the location has theenable updates option checked, the Central Data Station will update theanalyzer with the current Customization Profile for that location as noted below.• Analyzers designated to Report location as download location in theInstrument workspace will be updated with the Customization Profileassigned to the download location, regardless of the location to whichthe instrument is assigned. Care should be taken when downloadinginstruments from locations other then their assigned location.• Analyzers designated to Always report location as this assignment in theInstrument workspace will always be updated with the CustomizationProfile for the instrument’s assigned location, regardless of the physicallocation from which it downloads.If a location has the enable updates option unchecked, downloadingfrom that location will result in no customization changes being made toanalyzers designated to report location as download location. Analyzersdesignated to Always report location as this assignment will not be updatedif the assignment location for the instrument has the enable updates optionunchecked, regardless of the setting associated with the physical location fromwhich it downloads.User can also disable/enable CLEW updates by location. The default setting isto have the CLEW updates occur automatically for all locations. To disable aparticular location, simply click on the corresponding check box under updateCLeW to remove the check mark.Password The Customization Workspace is password protected. If the Security feature isdisabled, the default password is istat. If the Security feature is enabled, theuser uses the same password as their CDS application logon password. Tochange the password, select tools and Change Password from the menu bar.A password from 3 to 8 characters can be used.
